Upload of multiple files in one or more folders

Updated over 3 months ago

You have the option to upload an entire folder structure including files, multiple files, or a single file.

Choose the desired upload type, but it is recommended to use the "Upload multiple files" option in the right-click menu.

Upload Multiple Files

1. Select the folder where you want to upload the files.
2. Right-click on the folder.
3. Choose "Upload multiple files" from the menu (alternatively, click on the "Upload" button at the top).
4. Drag and drop the files into the window or click on "Browse files" to find and select the files.
5. Click "Open" and the selected files will appear in the upload module.
6. Click "Upload" (IMPORTANT: Do not interrupt the upload process, wait until the system is 100% finished).
7. Afterward, the Metadata* editing window will appear. Enter the correct metadata for each file. The entered metadata will be displayed as the file's properties in the file area.
8. If you need to upload more files in other folders, you can click "Add more files to this upload" in the metadata window to minimize the notifications sent.
9. Click "OK" to register the entered data in the system.

*Metadata (data about data) is shown in the file's properties. When entering metadata, you can copy the top line to other documents (e.g., select the revision date and copy it down using the arrow at the bottom of the column).

Custom metadata can be added. Please ask the project administrator for assistance.

With special permissions, Metadata can also be accessed using the right-click menu in the file area. Select the desired files and choose "Edit metadata".

NB! As a project user, your rights may be limited on the project. The rights of project users are defined based on the group they are invited to.
