Folder-level permission settings

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Folder permissions for individual folders can be managed by right-clicking on the folder or clicking on the three dots ••• and selecting View Folder Permissions for Groups.

Here, you can select the permissions for each group. Every project is pre-defined with the project groups Users and Administrators. Permissions can be defined based on the following:

  • Read/Download

  • Write/Upload

  • Edit/Delete (create folders)

Permissions are set by project administrators and company administrators.

The project administrator can create additional groups.
See more under Group Administration

The administrator can manage permissions for individual folders and groups. Permissions can be set at both the project level and the folder level.

There are no limitations on how deep in the folder structure permissions can be set. When permissions are set on a folder with subfolders, these permissions can be copied down into the subfolders progressively. When permissions are set for a folder with subfolders, the system will automatically ask if the permissions for the subfolders should be the same.

NB: As a project user, you may have restricted rights on the project. Project users' rights are defined based on the group they have been invited to.
